The Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA) was established in 1990 and has evolved into a nationally recognised, self-regulating, organisation leading the Real Estate Industry and its related fields to an international level of performance and professionalism.

In 2012, the Association was Incorporated by Act 10 of 2012 enhancing its national recognition as the self-regulatory body in the continuing absence of legislation.   AREA’s vision is to promote fair standards to buyers, sellers and real estate agents, and increase the level of networking and co-operation between competing agents.
